PROJECT COORDINATION AND MANAGEMENT: Managing every single aspect of the interior architecture and interior design project from the initial meeting to the property’s completion.
SKETCHES & CGI: In any of our projects a visual dialogue is key, right from the start to ensure our clients are fully across – and happy with - our interpretation of the design. We employ professional freehand illustrators to sketch out different concepts and then, as ideas solidify we start to create Computer Generated Images (CGI’s) which afford us the opportunity to provide more detail thanks to the photo-realistic finish which is as near to the finished space as you can hope to get ahead of time.
Creative Process
Each project is undertaken in discrete phases, with client approval sought at the completion of each phase prior to commencement of work on the next.
1 CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
This first phase will establish the concept for residence, creating a bespoke visual plan of the project for the client based on their requirements, ideas and inspirations.
ND Studios will work with you to help refine and define the vision you have and determine both the aesthetic and functional goals, as well as project objectives.
By the end of this phase the client and ND Studios will have an aligned vision of how the project will develop, including timeline to completion and how it will look once complete.
2 SCHEMATIC AND DETAILED DESIGN
As this phase is all about the details, ND Studios will work closely with clients and their architects to develop the interior design specifications. This will include the aesthetic details as well as overseeing administrative requirements.
We will create bespoke design intent schemes for each area of the property detailing finishes, joinery, fabrics, furnishings, bathroom and kitchen fittings. These will include physical samples.
3 DESIGN INTEGRATION AND DOCUMENTATION
This phase focuses on ensuring lighting, audio visual equipment, elevators, swimming pools and any other machinery is going to fit and work practically and aesthetically.
Create spreadsheets and schedules detailing all aspects of the project.
4 INTERIOR DRAWING PACKAGE
We provide comprehensive ‘setting out’ drawings which are informed by all consultants on the project including architects. These will feature details such as lighting, electrical outlets, stone layouts and cornicing design
5 BESPOKE JOINERY DETAIL
Bespoke joinery is a major part of our process, with clients seeking custom-built furniture to ensure their home is precisely tailored to them with one-of-a-kind pieces.
Clients receive a joinery package including detailed design intent drawings. We arrange and are fully involved with the appointed joinery company to create bespoke fitted furniture including selection and specification for all finishes and access is considered.
6 FURNISHING SELECTION
We work with clients to select both hard and soft interior furnishings to complete and complement each room with detailed schemes developed as well as control samples and specification spreadsheets.
7 PROCUREMENT AND INSTALLATION
Our strong relationships with professional suppliers ensure that all items are procured efficiently and at the best possible price. We take care of all the administrative factors such as delivery, installation and any re-sourcing.
8 OPTIONAL ADDITIONS
We also offer a range of additional extras including creating appropriate branding for your property and styling CGI images.
